Purchase SSL Certificate:

Once you got the SSL certificate, it is time to install on Prestashop.
Install SSL Certificate:
For that, you can take support of your hosting provider or SSL provider. After creating CSR, which requires below basic information (hosting account username, city, state, domain name, country, company name and division) the SSL provider issues SSL certificate and send it in email. After that, extract the file on your server directory in a plain text and proceed to install the SSL certificate. You should take a backup of the certificate file.
- After installation, you have to test the installed certificate. For that, login to Prestashop admin panel and browse Preference > General where you will find “Please click here to use HTTPS protocol before enabling SSL“. Just click on that written text.
- Now refresh the page, you will find a green padlock with HTTPS URL in the address bar. In case, you face any error (for example, Error 500, 404 not found or 102), you should contact host provider immediately.
